- MSX-2 emulator [Amiga]
This MSX-1 emulator is written by people from Chilie. It needs 68020
or higher CPU and works at a very decent speed and is able to run games
[at least, Konami games]. It has many bugs and is a shareware though.
The unregistered version works for a limited time.
- Amiga fMSX [Amiga]
Amiga fMSX is based on a portable MSX emulation by Marat Fayzullin.
It is being developed by Hans Guijt [jguijt@WI.LeidenUniv.NL] and
is in alpha-stage right now. Amiga fMSX happily runs BASIC and games,
although it is a bit slow.
- MSX-1 emulator [Atari ST]
no information is available
- MSX-1 emulator [IBM PC]
Emulates MSX1 machine on a 386 or faster PC. Both DiskBASIC and
MSX-DOS are emulated although there are problems with MSX-DOS
emulation. Harddrive is accessible from DiskBASIC.
You will also need ROM images in the BLOAD format which can be
obtained from
MSX WWW page .
- MSX-2 emulator [IBM PC]
This is a preliminary release of MSX-2 emulator from the authors
of the previous one. It runs with both MSX-2 and MSX-1 ROMs, although
it is not stable with latter.
- fMSX [portable]
This emulator written in C is supposed to work on a wide variety
of computer systems including Unix/X, Amiga, IBM PC, etc. It emulates
both MSX-1 and MSX-2, although MSX-2 emulation is not complete yet.
You are free to look at the source, modify it, write your own screen
and keyboard drivers. Report all changes you make to
Marat Fayzullin
please. There is currently an alpha-version for Amiga [see above]
and an IBM PC version is coming soon.
